Be a technical influencer

You will provide technical advisory services and technical design and consultancy to key decision makers. This will influence your customers' business strategies and maximize the value they receive. You will be the lead on cutting edge and emerging technologies. Sharing expertise from the wider market and across the organization.

As an Enterprise Architect, you will be responsible for:

• Working with customers defining and executing technical strategy for business-critical applications focusing on increasing return on Akamai investment, performance, security and reliability of the service.
• Designing and evaluating end-to-end architecture for applications to run on Akamai's Connected Cloud, leveraging core & edge compute capabilities
• Providing technical thought leadership, guidance educating peers and customers on best practice and the latest technology trends
• Partnering with Product Management and Research & Development teams to develop future product direction and strategy

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have experience working in a customer-facing role focused on delivering technical products or services
• Have knowledge and experience with web applications, content delivery, web performance and network protocols
• Have significant experience, academic or professional, with cloud or cloud native stacks
• Have the ability to be a technical consultant to our customers and build lasting and strategic relationships
• Be comfortable with software development paradigms and have work experience with at least one mainstream programming language
• Be able to navigate through a technical problem with a DevOps mindset
• Be able to analyse data, provide actionable solutions and thought leadership to internal and external stakeholders
• Demonstrate communication and presentation skills in English and Spanish to articulate technical information
