. In this role, you will take ownership of FPGA coding for system control and communication functions while also engaging in broader hardware engineering activities such as schematic/PCB design, lab validation, and signal conditioning. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across both digital and analog domains, capable of developing reliable FPGA-based control logic, and has hands-on experience with lab equipment and hardware testing.

FPGA Development

● Develop FPGA code for:

  • Board power-up and power-down sequencing and system bring-up
  • Protocol conversions including:
    • eSPI to UART
    • LPC to UART
    • SPI to UART
  • I²C communication interfaces
  • Converting adaptive voltage scaling (AVS) digital signals into I²C commands
  • Developing code for monitoring logic signals through UART/eSPI, allowing users to verify sequences (e.g., power-up/power-down timing and signal order).

● Perform schematic design ensuring correct signal connectivity to the FPGA and reliable power supply implementation.

● Validate and debug FPGA implementations in a lab environment.

● Run FPGA simulations using ModelSim or equivalent simulation tools.

Hardware Design & Validation

● Design and validate signal conditioning circuits including analog and digital filters.

● Collaborate on schematic and PCB design reviews and provide recommendations for improvements.

● Perform hands-on lab measurements using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other lab instruments.

● Work with logic analyzers for troubleshooting and debugging FPGA interfaces and communication protocols.

● Build and maintain reliable test setups for board-level validation.

● Debug hardware/firmware interactions at the system level.

Soft Skills

● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

● Self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as in a team.

● Clear communication skills (verbal and written).

● Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

● Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

● At least 1 years of proven experience in FPGA code development (Verilog, VHDL, or SystemVerilog).

● Strong understanding of digital communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, eSPI, LPC).

● Hands-on experience with lab instruments (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters).

● Familiarity with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium, OrCAD).

Preferred Skills

● Experience with power sequencing and system bring-up.

● Background in analog and digital circuit design.
