As a Functional Tester, you will be accountable & responsible to Prepare test strategy, test plan, test scenario, test scripts based on the project requirements. Execute functional and regression test cases. Report the defects in tracking tool and ensure its closure through STLC process. Involve in review meetings and walk through meetings. Candidate should have knowledge on Banking Capital Markets / Core Banking. Added advantage to have knowledge on Temenos / Finacle. Additionally, proficiency in automation testing skills will be highly beneficial.

Skills and attributes for success

• Understanding the entire modules and their functionality by verifying the Functional Specification and Style guide issued by the client.
• Responsible for writing and executing the Test Cases for Functional Testing and Migration Testing
• Should have UI and API testing experience
• Maintaining the Bug Reports and delivery Note details.
• Involved in Peer-Review of the test cases, Sanity Testing, Smoke Testing, Regression Testing, System Testing and User Acceptances Testing.
• Involved in review meetings and walk through meetings.
• Attend status calls as needed to report on testing progress
• Experience with Agile methodologies is essential, as is familiarity with the onshore/offshore working model to ensure seamless collaboration and communication across diverse teams
• Conduct training sessions for teams to ensure comprehension and implementation of established processes.
• Perform periodic audits to assess process adherence in both project implementation and product development/upgrade stages.
• Conduct release verifications to guarantee that all artifacts are created accurately and meet expected standards.
• Identify process gaps, recommend improvements, and implement necessary changes for optimization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quality assurance measures throughout the software development life cycle.
• Maintain and update process documentation to ensure alignment with best practices and industry standards.
• Act as a subject matter expert in quality processes, providing guidance and support to project teams as required.
• Should know the Defect Management using ALM/JIRA, Defect Triaging, Defect Status Reporting and Tracking
• Must have experience Budgeting and proposals.
• Should be able to drive Onsite – Offshore model.
• Should be able to report to stakeholders - Test Status, KPI Metrics and Dashboard Reporting
• Expertise in Stakeholder Managements, Risk Management, Conflict Management
• Good Client interfacing skills & should have involved in client interactions.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure proper delivery of the requirement.
• Should have Good Communication skills, Team Player & Good Analytical Skills
• Well versed with Software Development Life Cycle and Software Test Life Cycle.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in testing and automation to continuously improve the testing processes.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• BE/BTech/MCA/M.Sc.
• 6 -10 years of UAT/Business testing experience in Banking/Investment Banking/Capital Markets/Finance domain.
