Responsibilities:
- Planning for material requirements: Analyze production data, demand forecasts and current stock levels to assess future material requirements.
- Inventory management: Monitor inventory levels according to MRP recommendations and coordinate orders with suppliers to ensure adequate supply while avoiding surpluses and production stoppages
- Issue purchase requisitions: Send purchase requisitions and communicate required performance indicators to suppliers
- Follow-ups: Work closely with suppliers to track active requisitions and delays and update the ERP system.
- Forecasting: Submit and update consumption forecasts to help suppliers understand Siemens’ changing needs
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with production, engineering and logistics teams to ensure efficient planning and seamless flow of materials
- Supplier management: Maintain positive relationships with suppliers, monitor performance and proactively resolve problems
- Use of computer systems: Use planning software and IT tools to track inventory, generate reports and analyze data
- Emergency management: Respond to unforeseen events such as late deliveries, material shortages or changes in production plans by quickly adjusting plans and finding alternative solutions

What will you need to succeed?
- Diploma in logistics, administration, operations management, supply chain management, or related field
- At least 6 months to1 year previous professional experience in a planning or purchasing role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment
- Advanced English and fluency in French spoken and written, to interact with our American suppliers and clients
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to make informed decisions
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Proficiency in IT tools (MS Office)
- Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning software (SAP), an asset.
- Understanding of custom manufacturing processes
