Elavon is seeking the position of Senior Middleware Administrator (Multiple Openings) in Minneapolis, MN.
Essential Responsibilities:
The Senior Middleware Administrator position is focused on designing, building, and supporting middleware application environments containing web/application servers, middleware integration products, and supporting tools. The Senior Middleware Administrator includes a mix of designing and building new application environments as well as supporting existing application environments. Responsibilities include: Install, configure, maintain and patch Web Sphere 7 and 9, and JBoss EAP 6/7.x; Install, configure, maintain and patch Apache HTTPD webserver; Install, configure, maintain and patch Red Hat AMQ and Red Hat Fuse; Design, develop, enhance, maintain and execute automation configuration, patching, and upgrading of systems and applications using Puppet, Bitbucket and Rundeck; Configure, maintain, and execute scripts on Redhat Linux and Solaris servers and bash shell scripting; Install, configure, maintain and patch AppDynamics monitoring tool agents; Configure and tune application server JVM parameters for optimal system performance; Document designs, environment topology, configurations, and work plans; Refresh server certificates and resolve server middleware vulnerabilities; Work closely with software engineering (development), network, infrastructure, DBA, and other teams to design, implement and support applications’ middleware stack; Coordinate middleware task dependencies with systems that use middleware and were built using technologies such as SpringBoot, Fuse, AMQ, etc.; Perform middleware admin activities to support security, risk, compliance and audit requirements. Required Skills/Experience:
The qualified candidate must have at least a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering. The qualified candidate must have at least 5 year (60 months) of experience as Middleware Engineer, IT Analyst, or closely related occupation. The qualified candidate must have at least 5 years (60 months) of experience in each the following: Performing, installation, administration and migration of IBM WebSphere Application, JBOSS and Apache servers; Performing automating system monitoring activities, deployment and build scripts; Troubleshooting and resolving complex application problems and system administration issues; Planning and executing environment setup for development, QA, training, stage and production; Utilizing all the following tools: Hudson/Jenkins, HP ILO, Fiddler, Wireshark, AMQ, Puppet, Bitbucket and platform: Windows, Linux and Solaris and languages: XML, Yaml, JACL, Python, Ant, Maven Windows PowerShell, SQL.; and Providing 24*7 On-call support and co ordination with other support teams to ensure 24*7 availability of application.
