Position description:
As a member of the TCA team, you will work closely with engagement teams in the United States on a variety of clients, including some of the largest global corporations and transactions. In your role, you will perform research to identify transaction information, analyze transaction costs to determine the proper tax treatment, and prepare computational and written deliverables to summarize our conclusions.
Key responsibilities:
- Performing research regarding the transaction to identify relevant facts such as company information, transaction documents, regulatory filings, press releases, etc.
- Analyzing the transaction costs by reviewing invoices, engagement letters, etc.
- Preparing computations and documentation that support the analysis of the transaction costs
- Assisting with drafting the written analysis that provides the legalsupport for the treatment of the transaction costs
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate and/or postgraduate degree in accounting, tax, business, and/or law.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of relevant work experience in the field of accounting, tax, finance or business, (or) US Business Taxation such as Form 1120 or 1065 (related experience with a Big Four accounting firm a plus but not required).
- Relevant work experience in mergers and acquisitions would be considered a strong asset.
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
- Should pay attention to detail, proficient in MS applications (Word, Excel, Power Point), excellent analytical skills and must display effective interaction capabilities with various stakeholders.
- Display a positive attitude, interest to learn new things, capability to work under pressure and thinking out of the box.
