About this role:
- Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Systems Operations Engineer.
In this role, you will:
- Lead or participate in managing all installed systems and infrastructure within the systems Operations functional area
- Contribute in increasing system efficiencies and lowering the human intervention time on related tasks
- Review and analyze moderately complex operational support systems, application software, and system management tools to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
- Work with vendors and other technical personnel for problem resolution
- Lead team to meet technical deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of technical process controls or standards
- Collaborate with vendors and other technical personnel to resolve technical issues and achieve highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Job Expectations:
- Challenging Support Role in L1 & L2 / L3 involving Production Support and Deliversion, RCA on Recurring events, Automation, Solution Proposals along with BAU Support as per ITIL Framework Standards

- Responsible for Driving SRE Initiatives (Automation, Instrumentation, Resiliency, Reliability and Stability Improvement)
- Responsible for Executing Compliance Related Remediations, Challenging Application Releases from quality and risk standpoint, Understanding and Solutioning over recurring issues by RCA
- Responsible for Change & Release Management & Be a gate keeper for making sure no releases issues by efficient review
- Support the complex technical issues & initiatives (Upgrade/Tech Refresh) for large-scaleapplications/systems/DBs/othertechnical products/services. Development of technical support strategies & plans; Automation & Instrumentation to enable efficiency in restoration & stability
- Works on complex problems, debugging & propose solutions where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of complex business problems.
- Evaluate SLA, identifies gaps, suggest changes to assure supporting SLAs. Performs complex migrations from development to production, upgrades, installations and/or configurations
- Problem Management identifying recurring/chronic issues & improvement areas & take initiative in implementing the innovative solution causing efficiency.
- Provides the ongoing operational support for the ETL platform & nightly batch jobs assuring application health & scheduled data loads / work arounds on time
- Work with vendors and other technical personnel for problem resolution
- Lead team to meet technical deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of technical process controls or standards
- Collaborate with vendors and other technical personnel to resolve technical issues and achieve highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
Additional Required Qualifications
- Core skills – 4+ years in with Production Support experience. Strong in 3 tier application Concepts, with Load balancing, Veritas Clustering, Site minder Authentication, MQ integration, BI Publisher Integration hands on.
- Experience with engineering automation solutions using shell, PowerShell, and Python scripting.
- Good Knowledge in Unix/Linux OS, and shell scripting, DevOps, Autosys job setup and monitoring.
- Experience with Applications and Database (Oracle) Performance Tuning, Scaling, Security, Capacity Planning, Resiliency Best Practices.
- Basic knowledge of IHS, Apache Httpd, WebSphere Application Server, F5 concept, NAS/SAN storage.
- Worked on Venafi Certificate Management System.
- Good business communication skills in English.
- Good understanding of different monitoring tools like AppDynamics, Splunk, SiteScope, APM.

- 4+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- experience in Workflows / Java / ETLs
- Strong SQL Knowledge (Preferably SQL Server / Oracle)
- Understanding of Openshift and Cloud platforms
- Exposure to any SRE Concepts and Tools especially Monitoring / Observability / Automation tools (ITRS, AppD, Grafana, Kafka, Ansible)
Desired Qualifications:
- Any ETL (Preferably and SSIS) or Reporting (Preferably SSRS) Tools
- Experience in any of the technologies viz- (Java application support), Web Servers (related to IIS / TOMCAT / Weblogic) and Windows Servers concepts would be added advantage
- Experience or exposure to Infrastructure concepts (Nodes, Clusters, Physical Access hardware)
- Flexible and adapt to new technologies as quick leader as per project demand
- Exposure and Hands on over Scripting (Python, Powershell, Perl or Korn), BI Tools (Tableau / Power BI )
- ITIL V3 / Architectural exposure (recommended)
