The supply chain landscape is in a constant state of change and organisations must increasingly rely on operational excellence through digital transformation to grow. Digital manufacturing is at the core of any supply chain transformation project in life sciences, food and beverage, speciality chem or consumer packaged goods industry.
- We identify manufacturing process improvements utilising data and process analytics including statistical trending, multivariate analysis, machine learning and AI.
- Using a single-pane-of-glass (one-stop shop), we provide our clients with full product visibility throughout the supply chain.
- We design, build, test and deploy a range of market leading Operational Technologies (OT) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
- We support clients with the integration of operational and manufacturing technologies with their back end business systems, such as SAP and Microsoft, and help automate their business processes.
- We merge the physical and digital worlds using the latest digital enablers including augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), cloud, industrial internet of things (IIOT) and predictive analytics to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
- We help our clients achieve manufacturing excellence by ensuring the correct combination of people, process and technology.
Your key responsibilities
- Lead the overall Manufacturing Execution systems group in EY Ireland - Lay out the strategy, go-to market and build a Manufacturing Execution system practice based in Ireland and serving primarily the needs of the Lifesciences Industry( Pharma manufacturing, medical devices and Cell and gene therapy) . It is expected that this role will expand further into other segments like food and beverages, speciality chemicals , utilities after attaining critical mass.
- Support and deliver our alliances relationships in the life sciences sector. In this sector having strong alliance relationships with some of the key technology providers in this domain will be important Emerson, Rockwell, Werum, Siemens Tulip ( illustrative examples further exhaustive list of MES product vendors available ) . The role will require the building of a practice in close alliance , discussions with these leading MES vendors in the market place.
- The role might also requiring allying with smaller partners who bring certain relevant skills to the market place and development of joint propositions for specific use cases in industry – eg line clearance, golden batch, annual product reviews etc. The role will work in close conjunction on the development of Manufacturing 4.0 practice and with other service lines like Data & Analytics, Strategy and Transactions that bring in relevant capabilities
- The role is expected to bring on experienced full time consultants/ contractors in the industry supporting MES work in a billable capacity and in establishment of an Global MES centre of competence. This MES centre of competence will serve the needs of clients in Ireland and also support global work in the life sciences and in time other industry space. The role will involve the management of the training, learning and career aspirations of the team as we deliver assessment, implementation and managed services support work for clients
- The role will also network with life sciences account teams globally in the US, Germany, Switzerland and UK geographies given most life sciences companies are headquarter in these regions. These accounts are presently supported by Global consulting leader and this role will be expected to support opportunities that will be executed by the Ireland team being a key pillar.
- The role will strategically leverage networks to drive innovation, best practice and a continuous improvement culture across advanced manufacturing and aligned with EY’s wider Digital Factory/ capability.
