Your key responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee a variety of Legal Operations projects and initiatives, including designing and implementing legal technology and process improvement solutions, with a focus on contract lifecycle and procurement transformation.
  • Proactively identify and incubate initiatives that advance Legal’s strategic priorities around efficiency, simplification, continuous improvement, and value creation, drawing on extensive experience in professional and financial services industry and legal technology implementation.
  • Design and generate reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to provide insights and analysis of legal function operations and technology, utilizing advanced data analysis tools.
  • Implement best practices, automation, and technology solutions to drive efficiency and process improvement optimization, particularly in the context of Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) and generative AI legal technologies.
  • Provide training, change management, and technical support to legal professionals on new technology, tools, and procedures, to enable user adoption and foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the team.
  • Assist with management of external counsel and vendor relationships, billing, and spend, ensuring alignment with EY’s strategic objectives.
  • Liaise with cross-functional and regional teams to understand challenges and drive coordinated strategy to streamline processes, leveraging a deep understanding of EY's client facing and internal enablement operations.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures for the Legal function, ensuring compliance with EY’s standards and best practices, particularly in areas of data strategy, contract management and AI.

What we look for:

  • To qualify for the role you must have:
    • Advanced knowledge of legal department operations, with a strong emphasis on professional and financial services industries.
    • Extensive international experience with large multinational companies and proven ability to manage complex geopolitical and cultural dynamics.
    • Strong analytical mindset and ability to recognize trends, report issues, and translate data into actionable insights.
    • Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of driving change and innovation.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint, PowerBI, CoPilot, and other prominent legal technology platforms.
    • Undergraduate/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
    • Approximately 5 or more years of experience in a legal operations role or similar role with knowledge of in-house legal operations, particularly within EY.
  • Ideally, you’ll also have:
    • Experience leading large-scale legal operations projects, including design and implementation of enterprise legal management, contract lifecycle management, and AI technology systems.
    • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques to extract insights from complex legal spend and operational data.
    • Strong project management skills and familiarity, with advanced legal technology platforms and tools, evolving legal practices, technologies and industry trends.
    • A focus on delivering results in effectively managing and communicating change within the legal department to facilitate adoption of new processes and technologies in a fast-paced and complex corporate environment.
    • Demonstrated ability to identify the root causes of issues, develop creative and practical solutions, and assess potential impacts on related areas.
