As a Lead Supplier Quality and Development Engineer you will be responsible for driving exceptional purchased part/product quality for the patient safety, customer value beyond expectations, and optimized cost of quality for GE healthcare. You will have an opportunity to utilize Your strong injection molding, precision machining/casting, experience, work together with internal and external partners and deliver best in class healthcare products for our customers.
Qualifications and experience:- Extensive experience in component manufacturing technologies like : Plastic Injection molding, Precision Machining Aluminum, Al Pressure casting, Cable and Harness etc.
- Bachelor/Master’s degree (or equivalent) in an engineering or technical discipline or equivalent knowledge or experience.
- Effective problem solving, root-cause analytical skills to lead and influence others to drive change, cross-functionally and globally.
- Ability to effectively communicate, and have excellent report writing skill.
- Ability to travel mainly in Europe approximately 10- 30% of your working time.
- Master of Quality Tools (6 sigma, 7 Quality Control Tools, PFMEA, MSA, 8D, Auditing etc).
- Understanding LEAN Manufacturing Principles.
- Driving Licence.
Responsibilities:- Approve supplier selection through robust technical capability qualification processes.
- Improve supplier quality performance for assigned suppliers via quality plan implementation.
- Assure corrective and preventive action plans are developed and executed.
- Assure supplier compliance to GE Healthcare QMS and regulatory requirements through supplier monitoring process.
- Develop positive relationships and work closely with Global Sourcing Leaders and Modality Sourcing Leaders and Program Managers to manage and implement supplier/engineering changes, new product introductions and transfers.
- To be the driving force behind quality methodology thinking (APQP/PPAP).
Desired skills:- Ability to work with different cultures and timezones across the globe.
- Fluency in English and in Finnish, both written and verbal, German skills or any other language are desired.
- Leadership experience in manufacturing engineering/assembly engineering, at a “hands on” production line level.
- Knowledge of ISO 13485 or similar quality management system, and auditing.
