As an Associate/VP of Sales in the Cross Asset Sales team in Tokyo, you will be responsible for client coverage focusing on regional banks and day-to-day execution of cross asset products, ranging from Rates Flow, Credit Flow, Credit Non-Flow, Fund Strategy and more. You will need the abilities to navigate these products effectively along with generating ideas and providing market insight.
Job Responsibilities
- Build relationship while transacting in these markets across a wide range of products
- Market bonds, derivatives, structured/securitized products as well as rates products and funds
- Identify market drivers and product lingo while showing a high degree of interest in learning about other products while developing a cross-product skill set
- Work cooperatively with the relevant business partners such as Trading, Syndicate, Structuring, Origination and more
Required Qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Minimum of 4 years working experience in a Markets role and a solid understanding of the market
- Clear, logical thinker with strong qualitative skill set including effective communication and presentation
- Strong team player that is detail oriented with a highly disciplined approach to process and quality control
- Effective communication skills to interact with internal partners and clients
- Fluent in Japanese and business level English
- Strong proficiency in Bloomberg, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience with regional bank sales would be viewed favorably
- A high degree of organization and attention to detail, and the ability to perform well under high pressure situations with the appropriate degree of urgency
- Ability to learn quickly, multi-task and self-manage priorities
- Developed and established relationships with Japanese institutional clients
