The TTS Payments Operations Risk & Control team provides oversight & support to the TTS Payments Ops business with regards to the adherence to process related controls / policy requirements and the effectiveness of the controls by means of reviews/test programs, and review of reported data for underlying themes and trends. In addition, the Payments Ops team will engage with front office stakeholders to ensure consistency across the risk landscape
The purpose and objective of this role will focus on the establishment of a strong Controls framework, provision of ongoing controls oversight and support, monitoring of the related key risk indicators and reporting, as well as ensuring adherence to all relevant policies and standards for the TTS Payments Operations.
What you’ll do
Oversee the implementation of operational risk policies, standards and procedures, technology and tools, and governance processes to create lasting solutions for minimizing losses from failed internal processes, inadequate controls, and emerging risks
Develop and maintain a robust fraud response program to guide roles and responsibilities for recovery and safeguarding efforts, across TTS Operations Lines of Businesses
Provides evaluative judgment based on analysis of information in complicated and unique situations, identify and analyse escalated problems and provide guidance to business partners for resolution
Develop and implement relevant policies, standards and procedures to ensure timely, accurate and cost-effective delivery. Ensure that Citi wide KORs and KRCIs are communicated and understood by businesses
Ensure essential procedures are followed through conformance reviews by 1st Line of Defence and robust control framework over manual payment initiation and processing as well as governance over any deviations
Provide fraud impact assessment when new activities and products are launched, contribute to defining wider TTS Standards.
Attend and contribute to In Business Risk Committees meetings and related Decks
Lead - oversees regular Key Risk Indicator (KRI) reviews, Communicate and Escalate breaches in KRCIs at the Segment Level
Liaises with Business Operational Risk Management Group on breaches and action steps to correct breaches
Be fully up to date and familiar with relevant Citi Policies and standards
Works on T-10 (deep dive – root cause analysis) with support of In-Business Operational Risk Management Group, drive Corrective Actions Plans and ensure timely delivery at right quality
Exports best practices and common risk, controls and corrective actions through Framework Papers
Oversee and ensure right maintenance for relevant part of Manager Control Framework (MCA)
Represent the Business in reviews conducted by 2nd, 3rd LoD and external Auditors. Ensure timelines and quality of deliverables
What we’ll need from you
10-15 years relevant experience
Significant experience in Operational Risk and/or Payment Operations, is a must.
Expertise in the following would be beneficial: Fraud Awareness and Risk Management Operations and Systems
Analytics background is required
Excellent communication skills – verbal & written
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau)
Ability to produce results against tight deadlines and navigate ambiguity
Bachelor’s/master’s degree in business, Economics & Finance, or related discipline (or equivalent)
