Our Purpose

We are currently seeking an experienced Manager to join our esteemed GCS team in FS. Our team specialises in providing tailored global payroll solutions to clients, assisting them in mitigating risks associated with their mobile workforce. Some key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Compensation data collection and analysis for tax and social security compliance
  • Payroll management
  • Pre- and Post-payroll variance checks
  • Policy checking
  • Accruals management
  • Total cost reporting and cost savings advisory
  • Management information reporting
  • Improve the international experience, for both the mobile workforce and companies.

In addition, the team provide advisory, project and ad hoc services such as:

  • Implementing new systems and processes and assisting during transition period
  • Developing and implementing technology solutions for different payroll providers
  • Managing end-to-end projects
  • Providing solutions for increased global compliance
  • Providing advice and assistance regarding new regulations
  • Liaising with 3rd parties to ensure a smooth and efficient transfer of data.
  • Ad hoc payroll advisory & compliance services including, but not limited to HMRC’s EP Appendix 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 outsourcing.

Your Key Responsibilities

As a Manager in GCS, you will play a pivotal role in everything we do as set out in the GCS team description. Your aim will be to learn what we do for each client through their mobility lifecycle with a focus on assignee compensation, and as part of this, you will be expected to:

  • Build and maintain key relationships with clients and provide high levels of client service.
  • Assist in winning work by proactively managing existing clients and contribute to winning new clients.
  • Manage the successful delivery of client projects, always ensuring technical excellence.
  • Facilitate the end-to-end monthly GCS process; to include collecting, processing and distributing data and payroll instructions.
  • Conduct first level review of client deliverables, e.g., pay Instructions, identify errors and proactively seek resolution.
  • Ensure monthly deliverables are met from and to the client.
  • Compare client deliverables against actual payments and escalate inconsistencies to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Validate Year End reporting information and required reconciliations.
  • Ensure adherence to EY Quality Risk Management procedures and responsibility for file management.
  • Understanding EY software & technology to facilitate preparation of numerous reports and documents, e.g., request updates from software team to meet changes required by clients.
  • Facilitate monthly client engagement conference call or attend client meetings in person.
  • Liaise with EY global offices as required regarding monthly deliverables and current regulation.
  • Management of shared email inbox or similar, ensuring all required action is undertaken on a timely fashion.
  • Awareness of process / contribute to improving project’s efficiency.
  • Identify areas of risk or scope opportunity and escalate to management level.
  • Responsible for delivery in line with KPIs/SLAs
  • Assist with broader mobility payroll projects as required.
  • Delegating to junior members of staff and assisting with their learning and development
