Be the subject matter expert in maintaining and upgradingtooling and fixtures used in Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) processes
Understand GD&T and design principles
Work with equipment vendors to develop unique solutionsfrom concept to production phase
Leverage our in-house machine shop/prototyping team todesign, fabricate and qualify new designs
Working with other operational teams to identify andresolve production bottlenecks
Present data for design reviews and information to crossfunctional teams and management effectively
Continuously analyze BIW manufacturing processes toidentify opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and increasedefficiency
Provide technical support to the maintenance team toresolve any BIW-related issues that may arise during manufacturing, ensuringminimal downtime
Create and maintain documentation, including standardoperating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process manuals
What You’ll Bring
Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Mechatronics Engineering,or equivalent experience
Practical experience with BIW manufacturing processes,equipment, and assembly flow
Proficiency with CATIA, 3D experience is desired
Be a subject matter expert in maintaining and upgradingtooling and fixtures used in Gas Metal Arc Welding, Resistance Spot Welding, structureadhesive processes, including updating cranes and all equipment needed inBIW
Understanding of complex automation control systems
Partner with Controls Engineers and Process Engineers tosustain, maintain and improve the existing Gas Metal Arc Welding equipment
