Roles and Responsibilities:
As a Distinguished AI Engineer, you will focus on exciting generative vision, text, speech, time-series, and multi-modal problems related to segmentation, object detection, large-scale generative models, large-scale pretraining, prompt tuning, distillation, robustness, agentic AI, responsible AI, quantization, robotics, etc. You will play a critical role in advancing AI capabilities within our products, leading projects, and mentoring junior engineers.
Additionally, you will be responsible for:
- Leading the design and implementation of advanced machine learning models, with a particular emphasis on Large Language and Vision Models, to automate and enhance clinical tasks utilizing diverse data sets like medical images, electronic health records, patient waveforms, and clinical reports.
- Driving strategy and defining best practices for the Generative AI team.
- Ensuring the precision and applicability of algorithms across varied patient groups through comprehensive statistical analysis and error estimation.
- Spearheading the development and refinement of prototypes, overseeing their evolution into scalable, efficient, and production-ready software.
- Maintaining and expanding your expertise in the latest AI technologies and algorithms, driving innovation within the team.
- Facilitating the development of versatile software and data infrastructures, emphasizing reusability, scalability, and integration across various teams and projects.
- Guiding the technical direction and decisions to deliver a solution that meets GE HealthCare high standards for customer satisfaction, efficiency, stability, extensibility, simplicity, and operational excellence
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in a “STEM” major (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or equivalent field plus 7 years AI development for industrial applications in a commercial settingORPh.D. in a “STEM” major (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or equivalent field plus 5 years AI development for industrial applications in a commercial setting.
- Deep expertise in a specialized area of computer science such as Natural Language Understanding, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, or Algorithmic Optimization, coupled with strong software development skills.
- Demonstrated experience in leading the deployment of applications to production environments, adhering to the highest standards of operational excellence.
- Expertise in managing large-scale data processing, advanced AI model training techniques, prompt tuning, model distillation, enhancing robustness, and model quantization.
- Experience with various MLOps, ModelOps, FMOps (foundation modelOps) methods.
- Experience working with large scale AI training.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Publication record in top conferences (such as NeurIPS, CVPR, ICML, etc.).
- Experience with complex, noisy medical datasets and the unique challenges they present.
- Skills to influence Cross functional teams within GE HealthCare.
- Experience and demonstrated capability to handle challenges with vague or abstract problem definition.
- A desire to be hands-on and help invent the future of next-gen AI in Healthcare!
Eligibility Requirements:

- Must be willing to travel to attend meetings, workshops, conferences & etc.
- Must be willing to work out of an office located in Bellevue, WA.
