As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will:

• Join a team of 8 talented engineers.
• Lead complex engineering projects and the direction of the platform.
• Participate in developing the product vision in a cross-functional team (with PMs, Designers, and Architects).
• Deliver features requiring collaboration across multiple teams.
• Build for scale, high performance, and optimized cost.
• Mentor and coach other team members.
• Collaborate with teams in North America (usually 1-2 days with afternoon syncs).
• Work at our Warsaw office (hybrid model).

The ideal candidate will have:

• Extensive software development experience, including 9+ years of experience in complex engineering systems.
• Demonstrated technical leadership experience, such as being an architect or tech lead in high-impact customer-facing products.
• Experience owning projects with multiple stakeholders.
• The skill to deal with ambiguity, and to bring clarity into projects they lead.
• The ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Exemplify strong collaboration within a cross-functional team.
• Experience with Java.
• Experience working with infrastructure from major cloud vendors (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.).
• Great communication skills
