Summary of Position
- The Associate Supply Chain Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing the end-to-end supply chain activities of the organization. They collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services. The position requires strong project management, communication, strategic supply chain planning, and possess a solid understanding of supply chain principles and best practices to support the business priorities.
Major Activities and Responsibilities
- Covers Taiwan and Hong Kong region
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with suppliers, distributors, and internal teams to manage inventory levels, demand forecasting, and production planning.
- Monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate procurement activities, including supplier selection, contract negotiation, and vendor management, to ensure the availability of quality materials at competitive prices.
- Oversee logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, to ensure on-time and cost-effective delivery of products.
- Lead cross-functional project teams to drive process improvements and cost reduction initiatives within the supply chain.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and production teams to align supply chain activities with customer demand and business objectives.
- Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in supply chain management to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
Background Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field (master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 6 years of working experience in supply chain management. Proven project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results on time.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) in English, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing competing priorities and adapting to change.
- Based in Taipei office. Hybrid work with 10% of domestic travelling.
Required Capabilities (Skills, Competencies)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
- Solid understanding of supply chain planning principles, including demand forecasting, inventory management, and production scheduling.
- Business acumen and strategic thinking abilities to align supply chain operations with overall business objectives.
- Proficiency in using supply chain management software and tools.
