In this role, you will…

  • Lead EMEA’s marketing organization and strategy, working closely with the regional management team and global marketing organization, to define and execute the regional operating plan.
  • Lead the company’s strategic initiatives in the region including market sensing and analysis, clinical education strategy and execution, development of regional product portfolio needs and regional life cycle management, regionalization of the global branding strategy and development and execution of the regional strategy.
  • Strengthen customer relationships, reputation, and impact of Align Technology in the Orthodontic and Dental Community.
  • Provide sound strategic judgment and budgetary direction in the areas of clinical education, demand creation, lead conversion, research, building relationships, leading & motivating performance across range of cross-organizational initiatives.
  • Build new capabilities to support marketing initiatives in key markets e.g. oversee preparation, implementation, execution of product launches, review marketing and promotional programs, effective product positioning in accordance with global strategic objectives, and localization of consumer demand and conversion initiatives.
  • Define and deliver regional consumer strategy (media, digital, PR) and increase patient conversion (patient journey, doc locator, ..)
  • Work closely with global portfolio team to help define the short and long-term product and service needs of our customers. Ensure regional needs are fully communicated and understood by global teams
  • Build and maintain strong collaborative internal relationships across key cross-functional business units, including Sales, iTero and global marketing

CORE TASKS

Strategy, Business Plans, New Product Launches, Portfolio Management and People development

  • Lead development of Strategy and business plans for EMEA, working closely with Regional leadership team as well as General Management leaders across the region
  • Enable excellence in execution via creating the right plans and materials for country and sales teams. Partner with EMEA markets to ensure that the marketing strategies are executed flawlessly and budgets are appropriately allocated to drive the regional and global marketing campaigns.
  • Enable collaboration between global, regional, and country marketing teams to tegregional marketing objectives/principles that are consistent with global direction, manage product lifecycle, lead new product launches and marketing communication,
  • Lead annual business planning process. Conduct regular and systematic business reviews to analyse sales trends, and performance versus plan, latest projection and market growth, mix and price management, and drive changes as needed to deliver growth targets
  • Establish strong relationships with key opinion leaders and key customers
  • Oversee marketing research, monitor competitive activity and identify key customer and consumer needs across EMEA. Identify and act on new business models, as well as relevant business development and partnership opportunities.
  • Coach EMEA marketing leadership team on development and execution of robust marketing plans. Set full-year goals and objectives for direct reports and conduct performance reviews. Enhance productivity and efficiency of team through a continued process of career development and coaching.
  • Establish marketing competencies throughout the EMEA marketing organisation including both the regional and country marketing teams
  • Ensure marketing systems, processes and third party vendors are fit for the needs of the business

In this role, you’ll need …

  • 15+ experience of experience in Marketing, in role of progressively increasing responsibility and influence, preferably across Europe and other global markets
  • Proven experience leading large marketing teams in a B2B company. Experience in Medical devices and in B2C (consumer companies) a plus
  • Robust experience leading across cross-functional and/or cross-cultural environments
  • Excellent experience and proficiency in Brand Strategy, Customer experience, Marketing and Communication planning, Insights and Business analysis, Innovation and Product management. Consumer experience is a plus
  • In-depth understanding of digital marketing, including search, social media, CRM and digital nurturing and web analytics
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross functional teams and driving results in a fast-paced environment . Excellent analytical and communication skills with ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Level of education: University degree, preferably in marketing, economics or business; MBA a plus
  • English Native level, other European languages (German, Italian, Spanish, French) highly beneficial.

You will be based out of the Align Rotkreuz (Zug Canton) office, Switzerland with a willingness to travel as required within key European /International markets
