As an Deal Team Staffing – Associate, within Global Conflicts team you will focus on the review and analysis of deal team staffing for transactions originating in EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) and APAC (Asia-Pacific). You will gain a broad view of the global activities across firm’s Lines of Business, with particular involvement with Global Banking franchise.
Job responsibilities
- Research of firm’s relationships with entities involved in proposed transactions utilizing several internal systems
- Assess proposed individual banker staffing in a new transactions given current or past involvement in other transactions
- Partner with the Legal and Compliance functions to navigate ways to mitigate any identified potential conflicts of interest and /or address any identified confidentiality concerns in relation to proposed deal team staffing
- Communicate conclusions and analysis to Global Conflicts Office colleagues, deal team leaders and, as required, senior management
- Document the review, analysis and conclusions reached
- Participate in ad hoc projects to support the Global Conflicts function
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- University degree or equivalent
- Relevant work experience in a fast-moving analytical environment
- Understanding of investment banking products, services and transactions
- Must be detail-oriented, organized and thorough
- Must have the ability to communicate (verbal and written) and document information in a clear, precise and efficient manner
- Must have the ability to manage multiple projects in an efficient manner and bring them to a timely completion
- Must be comfortable working and collaborating within a strong team environment
