We, at Flywire, are seeking a
Payment Operations Associate, Insurance to be part of the team providing finance and operational support for the international payments and health insurance businesses.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Posts financial data to appropriate accounts in the company’s accounting system
- Enters, updates, and/or retrieves accounting data from systems
- Reconciles transactions, financial data, and other information to the company’s accounting system
- Management of accounting software (NetSuite)
- Assist with financial statement preparation and providing assurance about the accuracy of information contained in financial reports and their compliance with statutory requirements
- Tax classification and preparation of BAS reporting
- Maintaining internal control systems
- Verifies policies billed against applications received and reconciles differences through follow-up with the provider and/or other employees
- Insurance renewals and extensions
- Handles reconciliations, refunds, commissions as well as daily, weekly & monthly payments.
- Banking, invoicing and credit card reconciliation
- Compliance verification and reporting
- Answering emails and help-desk tickets regarding customers' needs
- Ad-hoc research activities
Here’s What We’re Looking For:
- 1+ years relevant experience in an insurance, accounting, operations or customer support focused position. Ideally in the finance industry.
- Attention to detail
- Strong organizational capability
- Customer focus and proven interpersonal skills
- Effective communication and escalation skills
- Fluent English, written and spoken.
- The ability to work independently, and part of a wider team
- Bachelor degree qualified in a finance or accounting related field
