Technical Excellence

• Experienced in strategic sourcing of Direct spend categories (Direct Materials Bulk, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, E&I, Tagged, Steel, Pipes, Engineering Materials, MRO, Facilities Management, Logistics, etc).
• Understanding of tools/ levers /concepts like strategic sourcing, Procure to Pay Cycle (P2P) global sourcing, e-sourcing, total cost of ownership, early vendor involvement, Process Maps, Demand Consolidation etc.
• Strong communication, presentation and team building skills and experience in producing high quality reports, documents, and presentations.
• Ability to identify cost optimization opportunities in one or more areas covering purchasing category management, Engineered/ Designed goods, direct/ indirect spends, contracts/ services procurement & administration.
• Exposure to ERP suite, Oracle, SAP across modules.
• Exposure to analytical and reporting tools like Power BI in addition to expertise in advanced excel.

Qualification

• Education: Engineer (Mechanical, Instrumentation, Electrical, Industrial, Civil) & Masters (MBA/ M. Tech/ MS).
• 10+ years of work experience in Supply Chain and Operations projects.
• Industry experience as a Buyer is a must.
• Prior Consulting experience is a plus.
• Experience in procurement strategy, category management, contract management, spend analytics, should cost models.
• Experience in operating model redesign, governance frameworks, strategic sourcing, cost modelling.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Experience in any of the sectors: Oil & Gas, Power & Utilities, New Energies, Infrastructure, Construction, Mineral & Metal sectors.
• Strong business acumen and technical expertise.
• Willingness to travel across locations for project delivery, business development activities, other business needs.

Experience

10+ years of work experience in Supply Chain and Operations projects.
