As a valued Jacobs employee, you will focus on regional and statewide resources planning and management with a strong emphasis on watershed resilience planning, water resources system, climate and hydrology, and coastal resilience. Project work could include technical evaluations in support of climate risk, system dynamics model development and application, coastal and estuarine hydrodynamics and water quality, water supply planning, master plans, watershed protection, surface water and groundwater hydrology, and drainage/flood control. Ideal candidates would have an understanding of water resources, climate change and resiliency, and costal processes. Must have previous numerical modeling experience related to water resources systems. Must have the ability to work with clinets and client service managers to help procure and deliver projects. Work will be reviewed for quality and as part of a mentoring process.
Bachelor's degree in civil, chemical, environmental or mechanical engineering.
- 0-2 years of Professional experience in relevant water resources engineering.
- Demonstrated understanding of water resource engineering, planning, and numerical modeling
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Self-motivated, initiator; demonstrated through professional society involvements or related activities
Ideally, You'll Also Have:
- M.S degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- EIT desired with two or more years of experience.
- Knowledge of CA water issues is beneficial.
- computer modeling, programming, and GIS experience
