Your key responsibilities
- Booking of Bank and Accounts Payable (AP) transactions
- Checking and processing Employee expense claims (Concur)
- Active participation in monthly and annual closure of books of account under local GAAP, IFRS, and Management accounting
- Preparation of Accounts Receivable (AR), AP, Concur, General Ledger (GL), and Treasury reports
- Processing, booking, and reconciling of Fixed assets and depreciation
- Actively supporting change efforts by articulating the benefits and promoting ways to reduce barriers to implementation within own area of responsibility
- Contributing to the development of business/function planning by carrying out research and contributing new data and insights to improve proposals
- Taking a systematic approach to making decisions, considering all relevant data
- Promoting operational excellence by challenging current practices and providing feedback on opportunities to improve them within own area of responsibility
Additionally, the Finance Associate is expected to:
- Communicate effectively about functional processes.
- Leverage diverse ideas and perspectives to solve business challenges
Qualifications and experience
- Relevant local accounting qualification
- 3-5 years of experience in a related field.
- Understanding of local GAAP and IFRS
- Proficiency in MS Office suite products, especially in handling large data sets.
- Strong planning skills and ability to prioritize workload
- Client service approach towards internal customers
- Proficiency in English
- Ability to understand and work with complex structures and business models
