Required/Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree AND extensive experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
• OR equivalent experience.

• Experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent skills, and/or practical experience
• Extensive experience in a software development, technical program management, or a similar role delivering platform or service features
• Experience with driving compliance areas in a software development setting
• Experience reading and/or writing/creating documentation/specifications/project artifacts
• Experience in software development or dev-ops

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

• Help identify and deliver against program Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) by coordinating the team’s strategy and tactics.
• Partner with stakeholders and contributors to define the plan for each release and collaborate closely with engineering teams to deliver per plan.
• Partner with the internal Rust community and strategic Microsoft teams to manage a tight feedback loop to strengthen Rust tooling and drive these requirements across engineering teams to deliver on these goals.
• Work with all major fundamental areas including security, reliability, compatibility, inter-operability, accessibility, privacy, globalization/localization, and more.
• Assist engineers on the team navigate these requirements and undertake projects that increase the level of reliability and automation of tooling adoptions and reduce overall developer toil.
• Manage dependencies across multiple work streams to identify potential risk areas through data-driven approaches and identify areas of optimization.
