What we doKey job responsibilities
* Own systems responsible for Cart experience and associated technology to support Cart facing features on the Amazon store worldwide
* Establish and execute short and long-term architecture roadmaps for the business
* Manage a development team focused on building and accelerating customer facing innovation
* Hire and manage performance for direct reports of Software Development Engineers
* Improve efficiency and reliability of the Cart system to ensure customer trust, performance, and availability during peak traffic events* Represent the technical team to senior leadership across the company through written and verbal communication
As part of the Cart team you will have a strong drive for results, great interpersonal skills and be eager to collaborate in a fast-paced environment.

- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers

- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience managing frontend technology and customer experience team.
