Other Services Accountabilities:
- Identify and communicate resource availability / constraints.
- Support Project Manager in managing operational risk, project delivery, HSE, quality and service.
- Provide to the Project Manager and Client early warning of any problems arising or decisions required of the Client as soon as the problem arising or decision required is identified.
- Monitor Contractor’s progress against approved construction schedule and provide progress information to allow accurate reporting of progress to the Client.
- Negotiate cost and time effects of any variation orders or provisional sums in the Construction Contract
- Demonstrate knowledge and experience with FIDIC-based contract (Yellow/Orange Book)
- Certify work completed and payment due so as to exclude any unsatisfactory or incomplete work or deliveries
- Convene, chair and minute design meetings as and when authorized by the Client, pre-start, weekly, monthly site progress and other meetings as necessary.
- Evaluate and approve the form and detail of Contractor’s interim payment applications and prepare interim certificates certifying the sums due.
- Knowledgeable in the review and approval of all related construction methodologies and inspection test plans
- Liaise with and manage any interface requirements of the Client’s other Contractors and Consultants to integrate with the civil construction works
- Experienced in identifying needed specialist and advise the Project Manager
- Perform final inspection before preparing and submitting full and final certification of the works to the Client
- Adept/familiar with marine construction requirements and specifications
- Manage the site supervision team and ensures that the construction supervision team members effectively identify, manage and report project risks
- Evaluate, select and adapt construction management and control techniques, procedures and criteria to suit job tasks and devises and implements solutions to problem encountered.
