As a Developer Advocate for AWS in Bangalore, you'll dive deep into AWS technologies, exploring how our services can solve complex operational challenges and drive innovation in the industry. From serverless architectures to container orchestration, from chaos engineering to observability solutions, you'll provide inspiration for reliability aware operations and development process with AWS. Your role will involve a mix of hands-on coding, content creation, and community engagement. Key responsibilities include:* Developing demos, prototypes and delivering technical presentations showcasing AWS solutions for SRE and DevOps practices
* Creating educational content such as blog posts, tutorials, and workshop materials on reliability and operational excellence
* Engaging with the developer community through social media, forums, and Q&A platforms
* Staying current with the latest trends in SRE, DevOps, and cloud technologies
* Collaborating with internal teams to provide feedback on developer experiences and product improvements
* Traveling to events and conferences to represent AWS and share knowledge with the DevOps community
* Mentoring developers in implementing AWS solutions for complex operational challengesA day in the life

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in SRE or DevOps engineering with modernized automation and operation (e.g. CI/CD, IaC, application performance monitoring, containers)
- Excellent communication and public speaking skills, with experience delivering technical content to developers of varied backgrounds.

- Hands-on experience with AWS services relevant to DevOps and SRE practices, such as AWS CloudFormation, AWS CodePipeline, Amazon CloudWatch, and AWS Systems Manager.
- Modern architecture experiences (e.g. container orchestration, service mesh, serverless)
- Comfortable with major programing languages for system engineering such as Go, Python, Java and so on
- Demonstrable experience engaging with developer communities, including creating technical content, public speaking, or active participation on platforms like GitHub, Stack Overflow, or developer forums.
- Ability to create and present technical content aimed at practitioners and developers.
- Willingness to travel as required.
