As Global Clearing Operations manager, you will support Clearing, Reconciliations, Middle Office, F&O House Ops, Expiries & Deliveries, Settlement, Brokerage, Client On-boarding, Client Money, Regulatory Reporting, Static Data Management and Position Management.

Job Summary:

  • Developing trade ideas and portfolio management strategies in derivative markets
  • Identifying relative value between and among derivative and cash instruments
  • Quantifying the risks and profit opportunities of trades involving futures and options
  • Executing client trades for fixed income, money market, foreign exchange, commodity and equity-related futures and options on exchanges worldwide
  • Clearing and settling futures and options transactions

Job responsibilities

  • Awareness of the products and the exchange rules covered by the team and of the functions of the global business
  • Performs Regional Exchange Clearing in accordance with local regulatory requirements
  • Maintains accurately both at the exchange and within the internal clearing system
  • Escalates and resolves all trade and position breaks on trade date + 1
  • Correctly process all exercise and assignment notices as per the published deadlines
  • Awareness of the appropriate escalation procedures when issues are raised
  • Reviews and checks production output from a control aspect
  • Reviews processes regularly and where possible make suggestions for greater efficiency

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Deep understanding of F&O Knowledge (Asia markets knowledge would be an added advantage)
  • Ability to assimilate information quickly and accurately, whilst remaining focused on 'the big picture'
  • Excellent Client focus and Customer care working practices
  • Flexible attitude towards working hours due to the demands of the working place
  • Strong intellectual curiosity for process improvements
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work accurately and effectively under pressure
  • Strong time management skills required to meet the many internal and external deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to review and enhance processes is preferred
