Job summary:

Job responsibilities:

  • Review a wide variety of credits to produce commentary and analysis to identify profitable trading opportunities, both for our clients and for the desk positions.
  • Work with the traders to set prices for trading levels for credits
  • Partner with sales team to source and pitch trading opportunities to banking and hedge fund client base
  • Credit manage inventory positions for all changes to the credits including amendments, waivers and restructuring
  • Identify profitable risk-taking opportunities including capital solutions where new money is needed
  • Preparation of other ad hoc support materials/ presentations to group and clients
  • Network with counterparts and colleagues in the market such as peer analysts at funds, legal advisors and restructuring advisors

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • You have previous experience in credit analysis, financial modelling and valuation
  • You demonstrate valuation and credit analysis ability, including good cash flow modelling skills
  • You have mature personality to enable direct client interaction, confident presentation skills
  • You demonstrate ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • You have experience in understanding debt documentation, identify weaknesses in documentation, understand legal frameworks
  • You have strong work ethic
  • You are a self-starter capable of working independently while also thriving as part of a larger team.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • You demonstrate written and spoken French language skills
  • You have experience in restructuring

This role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting UK regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and/or the Prudential Regulation Authority to carry out such activities.
