As Technology Assurance IT Risk Senior Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading the engagement teams and contribute technically to IT Risk Assurance client engagements and internal projects within the company. The role involves assisting the Directors while actively participating within the client engagement. In line with EY commitment to quality, you will manage risks associated with technology operations and to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices for your clients. As a member of the team, you’ll help to create a positive learning culture, coach and counsel junior team members and help them to develop.


Your key responsibilities are to

  • Participate in go to market, create proposals and respond to RFPs, client orals etc. Identify opportunities for cross-selling to current clients/introduce colleagues from other service lines.
  • Evaluate the company’s technology universe from a technical and business perspective, execute in-depth assessments of the IT processes, risks and controls through interviews, desktop analysis and system inspection.
  • Contribute in providing our clients with EY supported insights and pragmatic recommendations to further improve business performance, operational efficiency and risk management.
  • Be responsible for the successful end-to-end delivery of multiple engagements, motivating teams, coaching people and reporting directly to the executive level.
  • Develop strong client relationships and potentially identify new business opportunities, while assisting in further development of our technology risk competencies and offerings.
  • Foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment. Play an active role in counselling and mentoring junior consultants within the firm.

Skills and attributes for success

  • You will leverage your proven track record of IT Audit experience and strong personal skills, to effectively deliver quality results in the assessment, design, and support implementation of controls, security and IT risk solutions.
  • You have excellent communication and solid writing skills in English.
  • You have good people, analytical, and reporting skills with a positive, problem-solving mindset.
  • You are able to work autonomously with a focus on getting things done.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, (Any B.E/B.Tech course with IT subjects, BCA/MCA, B.Sc.-IT/M.Sc.-IT), MBA in any domain, CA/ACCA, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline
  • Participated in go to market, created proposals and responded to RFPs, client orals etc.
  • Identified opportunities for cross-selling to current clients/introduce colleagues from other service lines.
  • Minimum 10 years of a “Big 4” or professional firm or professional industry experience in risks & controls, with more than 7 years of experience in IT Risk Management, IT Regulatory Compliance, IT Audit and IT Transformation Risk areas
  • Strong exposure working in client facing roles, collaborate with cross functional teams including internal audits, IT security and business stakeholders to assess control effectiveness and facilitate remediation activities.
  • Have onshore client leading experience and have strong understanding of US/UK GAAP
  • Have faced/supported PCAOB inspections and have strong understanding of industry relevant guidelines such as AICPA.
  • Proven track record of leading complex IT audit engagements, IT security assessment, managing client relationships, and delivering impactful recommendations.
  • Have relevant industry certifications such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, CRISC, CCSK, ISO 27001, and others technology related certifications (as relevant)
  • Market Leadership and client management
  • Executive-level skills in client relationship management and the hold conversations with senior executives.
  • Partnering with onshore teams to understand client’s business & related industry issues / trends for global clients.
  • Identify buyers, influencers & stakeholders in existing client engagements and build strong relationships.
  • Contribute to new solution development basis the industry trends and client’s problem statement
  • Conduct knowledge sharing discussions & contribute to EY thought leadership.
  • Support multiple innovation initiatives to enhance existing solutions leveraging emerging technologies like Robotics, AI, Advanced Analytics
  • Collaborating with colleagues across multiple service lines, sharing your knowledge and experience to guide business decisions.
  • Monitoring industry news, tools and trends while suggesting potential risks, as well as opportunities to improve the way we work.
