Your Role and Responsibilities
AIX Admin providing day-to-day administration, maintenance, and support for the organization’s AIX-based systems and infrastructure. This role works closely with senior administrators and cross-functional teams to ensure the stability, performance, and security of the AIX environment… You will need to visit the domestic client’s offices / data centres on a daily basis or on an as-needed basis as part of this role.
Role and Responsibilities
- AIX installation/Upgradation/Patch Management
- NIM based installation and administration.
- Hardware health checkup/Logs Collection
- System Monitoring/Performance Monitoring/data collection.
- Start/Stop, reboot OS as and when required.
- LVM, File-System and NFS Management.
- Storage Attachment and multi-pathing Configuration and User Administration.
- OS Hardening as per Client/Audit Security policy.
- Develop and maintain documentation about current environment setup, standard operating procedures, and best practices.
- Schedule Jobs/cron and System backup and restores
- BCP activities and Support.
- PowerHA Installation/Configuration/Start/Stop/Administration
- LPAR Creation and Administration.
- VIO installation and configuration
- Resource Management and DLPAR operations.
- Trouble shooting any problem data collection.
- Raise and track Service Requests with IBM/OEM.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- 5 years and a minimum of 3 years’ experience on AIX system administration.
- AIX administration, as given below, rather than “ticket” based administration experience.
- Candidates on the L2 Category should have 2-3 years relevant experience.
- Candidates should have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Candidates should be willing to work on 24×7 and on-call support during critical issues.
- Candidates should have eagerness to learn new technologies and skills.
- He / She should be hardworking with strong work ethics and discipline.
- All the Candidates should have any of the following educational qualifications.
- 3 Years regular Diploma from a recognized technical institution
- BCA/BSc IT/BSc Computer Science / BE./ B.Tech Graduation
