As a Qualcomm Software Engineer, you will design, develop, create, modify, and validate embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and/or specialized utility programs that launch cutting-edge, world class products that meet and exceed customer needs. Qualcomm Software Engineers collaborate with systems, hardware, architecture, test engineers, and other teams to design system-level software solutions and obtain information on performance requirements and interfaces.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.

PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Major Job Responsibilities

• Plan and execute product software integration/testing and build/release

• Product level issue analysis and triaging

• Track feature request, prioritize critical fix, ensure on-time delivery of software release for Qualcomm platform development

• Manage customer software branching strategy and release plan

• Work with customer engineering teams and various global engineering teams globally across different technical areas to drive and deliver critical software fix to support customer product commercialization

• Participate in the product integration tools development for continuously improvement of automation through the product software integration/build/release/testing process

Qualification and Experience/Skills

• 3+ years software experiences for mobile/compute device or embedded products development/testing.

• Strong technical background on popular mobile and compute device platforms (e.g. Windows, Android, LINUX, etc.), Windows experience preferred.

• Experienced in wireless communication product testing and problem analysis and familiar with embedded software logging/debugging methods

• Familiar with product software development, integration and release process and strategy

• Experienced in script programming with script languages such as Python, Perl, Shell, etc.

• Good teamwork spirit and communication skills using English, both oral and written
