Job Summary:
requires the knowledge to participate in design, build, test and deploy effective testing solutions. To fulfill this role, the L1 Support & Testing consultant applies appropriate technologies to meet the short- and long-term goals of the Testing & Support organization. This level role provides the opportunity for exposure to fundamental of software Automation testing principles and concepts.
• Basic Understanding of SAP Manual Testing, Functional and Regression Test Automation.
• Work with Design and development team to identify and capture test cases, ensure version management.
• Work on product design to guarantee adherence of test coverage for meeting end user requirements.
• Test all aspects of the product/system like function/component, system, performance, Regression and service.
• Setting up of test environments, designing test plans, developing test cases/scenarios/usage cases, and executing these cases.
• With the help of Test Manager apply, design and develop automated testing strategies and build automated testing frameworks.
• Learn and implement automation test framework
• Record test results, report and verify software bug fixes to accept automation criteria.
• Coordinate with program and development management teams in product development lifecycle to confirm end user product and quality requirements along with development schedule.
• Analyze performance test requirements and develop test plans.
• Handle performance testing and present results for validating and analysis to Project Teams.
• Answer technical issues to resolve and follow up.
• Bachelor’s Engineering degree
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience
• Possesses exposure to or education in the following:
• An understanding of the software development life cycle as well as the business approach for the product
• Willing to work in a 24x7 environment and provide weekend coverage, if needed
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Manage customer expectations regarding estimated response times for issue resolution.
• Resolving the issues through Phone, chat, and email communication channels.
• Meet SLAs like response and resolution times with help of Functional & Technical team
• Collaborate with Functional & Technical Support team members to properly manage customer inquiries and escalate when appropriate.
• Own customer technical issues from initial report to resolution, communicating with customers regularly regarding issue status.
• Run monitoring reports for usage, performance, and/or availability.
• Document solutions for knowledge-base and bring new ideas for innovation and automation excellence into the Support team.
• Understanding of Microfocus ALM Software (Microfocus Quality Center) Testing Tools
• Experience in software development life cycle and software development methodologies like Agile, Azure DevOps etc.
• Analytical skills
• Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description
• Able to comply with the company’s safety and quality policy always
• SAP Testing, SAP Test Automation & Validation is minimum 4+ years.
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps and Jira is mandatory.
• Willing to work in the shift 12:00pm to 9:00pm
• 10% travel, including global travel
• Occasional on-call work required
