This External Foundry Quality and Reliability Engineer position covers QnR of foundry suppliers to ensure that Intel branded IC's manufactured externally meet Intel quality and reliability requirements. As working with partners and suppliers in multiple geos (Asia, Europe, and USA) is required, the flexibility to be able to participate in meetings outside of the typical 8 am-5 pm window when needed is essential for this position.The External Foundry Quality and Reliability Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to:
Key tasks during HVM includemonitoring/review/reporting
Ensure successful product transferring from NPI to HVM, the QRE in this position must work both independently as well as across a wide variety of internal groups/content experts, multiple geos, and external foundry/suppliers.
Maturity and experience to move up the foundry QnR learning curve very quickly and demonstrate the aptitude to contribute rapidly to group key results.
Expertise to work effectively across a wide variety of internal groups and with many content experts, multiple geos, and external foundry/suppliers is essential to success.
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering, Physics, or equivalent field, with 10+ years relevant experience in at least one of the following:
Product engineering
Reliability Physics.
Wafer fab process.
Device Physics
Product Quality, or Reliability practices.
IC and Wafer testing.
Failure Analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical Data Analysis skills.
Supplier management skills.
Advanced Quality Management System skills.
Systems thinking approaches are also critical.
Excellent teamwork and customer orientation.
Good English (verbal and written) communication skills.
Comfortable working independently as well as in virtual teams, and interface with a wide variety of functional groups. Lead projects when needed.
