This is a field-based (remote) position with 75% travel required.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Health Economics and Value Selling: Implement health economic strategies and value selling methodologies across Boston Scientific’s Cardiology Group and Peripheral Interventions businesses.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with R&D, Sales, and Medical Affairs teams to align product innovations with market access needs, reimbursement strategies, and clinical benefits and inform the development of customer-facing tools, economic models and other tactical elements of reimbursement to maximize patient access to BSC technologies.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay up to date with FDA guidelines and ensure that the reimbursement and market access strategies comply with regulatory frameworks.
  • Legal Compliance: Ensure health economic and value selling methodologies and messages are consistent across the organization and compliant with legal guidance.
  • Public Health Impact: Analyze real-world data and support the development of value messages that showcase the public health benefits and economic value of Boston Scientific’s products, including long-term savings and improved patient outcomes.
  • Training and Development: Educate and train sales teams on health economic tools and messaging to ensure consistent application of value-based selling across the organization.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including C-Suite executives, physician champions, and healthcare administrators to promote the adoption of Boston Scientific products.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience in healthcare administration, medical device industry, or healthcare economics.
  • At least 3 years of experience working in healthcare delivery or medical device reimbursement, particularly in cardiovascular specialties.
  • Excellent technical expertise in the areas of healthcare administration and delivery, facility and physician reimbursement, and health economic value messaging.
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to present complex information to a broad and diverse group of stakeholders and to convey the unique capabilities that Boston Scientific has in this market.
  • Experience presenting complex health economic data to diverse, executive audiences.
  • Strong knowledge of the U.S. healthcare system, including Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and the Commercial payer landscape.
  • Demonstrated skills in account management and customer service.
  • Demonstrated ability to set and manage priorities, manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team and collaborate with teammates in a positive manner to achieve team goals.
  • Computer proficiency (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Up to 75% overnight travel required.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (MBA, MPH, MHA) in health policy, health economics, healthcare administration, or a related discipline.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships at all levels of an organization and influence business objectives.
  • Demonstrated responsiveness and sense of urgency when pursuing goals and completing tasks.
  • Ability to work with ambiguity and continuously adapt in a rapidly changing atmosphere.
  • Knowledge of financial calculators and economic tools to demonstrate product value to healthcare systems.
