Description
- Acquire, analyze, and interpret data using in-situ/ex-situ Raman microscopy/mapping for structural characterization and chemical analysis.- Optimize acquisition parameters and develop new methods.- Identify and define the proper characterization techniques for submitted samples and implement focused characterization projects using Raman and other characterization techniques to drive root-cause analysis and a deep material understanding.
Key Qualifications
  • Deep knowledge of batteries, battery materials, and their characterization by Raman and other relevant structural analysis techniques
  • Hands-on experience in Raman and other materials analysis techniques (including XRD, SEM/EDS, XPS and FTIR)
  • Demonstrated track record of applying Raman and other characterization techniques to solve critical problems in battery material development and/or identification of battery degradation mechanisms.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
Education & Experience
B.S. and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience. Ph.D. in chemistry, materials science, or related field (Raman techniques as a part of graduate-level studies) preferred.
Pay & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $132,300 and $241,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
