This role will be based out of a corporate office and remote sites, international and domestic travel may be required up to 25% of the time.
Key job responsibilities
You will be responsible for managing group of technicians who are installing cabling and building network rack capacity for our customers.Based out of a corporate office local and some international travel will be required when needed for projects and to develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers. You must be passionate about the Customer Experience, think and act globally and want to contribute to innovations in the area of Data Centre Infrastructure.• Managing and developing teams of technicians and engineers, providing both technical and leadership expertise and ensuring highest levels of performance.
• Delivering capacity to existing Data Centres
• Helping build and bring online new Data Centres
• Constantly improving all our processes and procedures. We believe there is nothing we cannot improve
• Assisting & managing relationships with external vendors & contractors
• Liaising with internal teams & management groups
• Ensuring we adhere to and exceed local Health & Safety standards in all our Data Centres
• Creating and maintaining metrics on all aspects of our Data Centres and utilizing those metrics to drive positive changes
• Assisting in implementing service methodologies including incident management, problem management, change management, capacity management, etc.

An engineering degree or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant engineering or manufacturing operations experience, of which 3+ years in a people management experience, building & managing technical teams.Incident and Vendor management experience with Security and Health & Safety awarenessProven ability in driving and managing metrics/KPI's with a high degree of organization and detail-orientationSound knowledge of Microsoft Suite (MS Words, Excel, Project Visio and Power point)
Network build planning and budgetary experience.Proven track record of success in delivering complex projects.Ability to translate client requirements into technical specifications.Familiarity of Data Centre server rack and network infrastructure.
