As Manufacturing Network Engineer, you will be primarily responsible for the management and compliance of the Cork sites digital Infrastructure, OT- and IT Network and relevant applications. The engineer will routinely liaise with internal stakeholders, system owners and GEHC global functions for OT infrastructure compliance and network configuration support. The Manufacturing Network Engineer will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, which includes both IT professionals and controls systems- and automation engineers. The role is primarily site based but has scope for hybrid working. You will be reporting to the Automation- and IT Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Critical systems & Infrastructure onsite - Site OT Network and relevant applications.
- Deliver optimum performance & reliability by monitoring infrastructure (Hardware and Software) performance, compliance & obsolescence.
- Identify risks & improvement opportunities and take action to address - upgrading and patching as appropriate.
- Manage external vendors (as required to support projects implementation and ongoing infrastructure support).
- Generating, maintaining & improving site OT and system documentation i.e., policies, procedures, inventory’s and drawings, to ensure alignment with best practice and industry standards.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders & vendors to assist project owners meet requirements, which may include the interfacing of new equipment with existing site network. Provide input to the development of project schedules and document trackers, as they relate to OT- and IT connectivity objectives.
- Required to comply with Procedures and Guidelines, regulatory requirements and execute cGMP in the performance of day-to-day activities and all applicable job functions.
Basic Qualifications:
- BS Degree in information systems, Computer Science, or related technical discipline (or min 5 years relevant Networking / OT Systems experience).
- Experience in IT/OT support in manufacturing industry, supporting mission critical networks / systems. Experience in Pharmaceutical industry preferred, but not essential.
- Experience in executing IT projects.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- Experience with incident, problem, change or configuration management.
Preferred Technical Experience:
- Experience with windows operating systems.
- VMware (ESXi)
- Configuration Management Database experience e.g Service now or other similar applications
- Network technologies e.g. switches and Firewalls (Palo Alto & Cisco).
