As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll play a key role in shaping the next generation of cloud-native infrastructure. You’ll work on complex distributed systems, contribute to open-source and proprietary technologies, and help drive innovation across the Kubernetes ecosystem on Azure. We’re looking for engineers who are passionate about containers, Kubernetes, and DevOps tooling—and who thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#,
  • OR Java, JavaScript, orPython
  • OR equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in commercial software development.
  
• 1+ year(s) experience in building, shipping and operating reliable, distributed solutions.
• 1+ year(s) experience engaging in site-reliability engineering practices.

• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
  • OR related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript,GolangOR Python
  • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience.
• 1+ year(s) experience with workload/container orchestration using Kubernetes or similar platforms.
• 1+ year(s) experience in Linux.

• Improve quality of service for Microsoft Azure Kubernetes Service
• Accelerate development velocity for all engineers.
• Balance pragmatism with vision; deliver continuous improvements to the team’s process and codebase.
• Build automation to prevent and/or remediate service problems from becoming production incidents.
