The Senior Director and General Manager is responsible for driving sales growth and achieving revenue and transaction margin targets across the full PayPal portfolio in the French market . This leadership role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in managing high-performing sales teams, developing comprehensive sales strategies, and fostering relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally.
Sales Strategy and Execution:
-Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue and Transaction Margin goals within the large enterprise market, and steer cross-functional delivery for France across the SMB and Consumer segments
-Identify and prioritize target accounts, establishing a robust pipeline of opportunities.
-Drive the sales process from lead generation through contract negotiation and closing.
-Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback.
Relationship Management
-Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within target accounts.
Market Analysis and Reporting
-Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
-Analyze sales data and market feedback to refine sales strategies and tactics.
-Provide regular updates to senior management on sales performance, forecasts, and market insights.
-Partner with marketing to develop and execute targeted campaigns and initiatives.
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 15+ years' sales/commercial experience
- Strong understanding of financial technology, including digital payments, blockchain, and other emerging trends.
- Proven experience in a managerial role leading distributed teams.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to make sound decisions based on data and market insights.
- Proven ability to foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated experience working in a matrixed organization.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with an ability to convey complex concepts and issues in a compelling, persuasive, fact-based manner.
- Hands-on, "roll up your sleeves" mindset, with the ability to be a driver and change agent with a bias towards innovation and action.
- Clear comfort with ambiguity and evolving strategies.
- BA is required; MBA, and/or technical degree preferred
