Your Day to Day:
- Aid in the development and growth of PayPal Digital Wallet engineering and technology strategy.
- Hire, lead and grow high-functioning teams and engineers within your organization.
- Establish clear goals, objectives, and performance expectations for team members.
- Develop and execute initiatives and drive business goals with cross-functional partners.
- Oversee the planning and execution of software development projects, ensuring they are completed on time, with high quality, and within budget.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, and QA) to define scope and requirements of technology-driven projects.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability and cohesion.
- Allocate resources effectively to meet business needs and project priorities.
What You Bring:
- Degree in Computer Science, or a related technical field. Advanced degree is preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in engineering, product and/or technology, ideally in a finance or digital payments environment.
- 5+ years of experience in leading technical organizations.
- Experience in scaling and developing internationally dispersed teams with an appreciation for cultural nuances.
- Deep understanding of global financial and payments ecosystem and/or e-commerce technology.
- Proven track record of building trust with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to operate at different altitudes – i.e., shifting between high-level strategy and hands-on tactical.
- Executive presentation skills; including in-person, written, and verbal.
- Ability to communicate complex technology concepts into the essential points to inform executive decision-making.
- Travel as needed for team activities and leadership meetings.
