1. Responsible for articulating clear vision of Industry Consulting strategy and creating an environment that enables successful execution of the strategy; responsible for ongoing evolution of Industry Consulting strategy to enable broader LOB revenue growth objectives
2. Partner closely with Investment Banking leadership to ensure effective delivery of complex financing solutions to Commercial Clients through industry specific lens; responsible for maintaining extensive level of knowledge of corporate banking, investment banking and commercial banking solutions, in addition to market trends and business drivers
3. Responsible for communicating the role the team plays in the overall bank strategy; responsible for broadening dialog to incorporate capital markets, investment banking, wealth management, credit and payments solutions
4. Responsible for partnering closely with senior leaders and executives to create awareness and visibility for Industry Consulting initiatives
5. Manage and lead a team of highly experienced industry experts with extensive backgrounds in investment banking, corporate banking and capital markets; ongoing talent development and coaching to enable teammates to maximize full potential; provide guidance and leadership and effectively working within the team and the bank
6. Identify potential future industries for specialty focus; develop targeted strategies to assist in identifying and securing new business and broadening current scope of offerings by identifying trends, forecasting needs, evaluating areas of opportunities and soliciting feedback
7. Responsible for recruiting, on-boarding and coaching new talent as they enter the team; recruiting efforts focused on seasoned investment banking and corporate banking candidates who can effectively work in a distributed model
8. Determine content needs and direct creation of industry-specific thought leadership and marketing material; responsible for ongoing communication for teammates, clients and prospects related to industry trends, market dynamics, competitive landscape and value creation
9. Responsible for ongoing communication and education about Industry Consulting team with bank leadership, functional partners, product partners and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment and gain buy-in
10. Responsible for leadership of the Not-For-Profit Hospital team; direct client and P&L ownership; responsible for setting strategic direction and growing the business
11. Serve as leader for the Not-For-Profit Hospital vertical, ensuring that Truist Culture and Sales Processes are effectively executed. Drives the sales culture, credit accountability and partnership with Region Presidents and dedicated product partners. Develops and executes a focused marketing plan, growing new relationships, and expanding existing client relationships. Responsible for meeting loan, deposit, capital markets and fee-based revenue expectations for the Not-For-Profit Hospital business segment
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. 15+ years of Investment Banking, Large Corporate Banking or Debt Capital Markets experience
2. 10+ years of direct experience selling corporate or investment banking products or solutions to large/complex businesses with extensive C-Suite engagement
3. Comprehensive experience in corporate banking, investment banking, commercial banking, capital markets, corporate finance, risk management and value creation
4. Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills to lead, influence, negotiate and persuade key constituents, stakeholders and executives in a distributed or matrixed model
5. Exhibit a strategic mindset with the ability to focus on new capability development as well as growing existing businesses
6. Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver clear and effective presentations (e.g. recommendations to Leadership, client sales presentations)
7. Strong skills in strategic and quantitative analysis and project management to identify key value drivers and quickly assess complex issues
8. Proven track record of growing a business, delivering sales results and maintaining a strong customer-orientation
9. Strong leadership skills to manage a team of highly experienced, senior investment banking professionals
10. Ability to recruit, develop and manage talent across various capability levels
