What you’ll do:

Expected start date: June 2025 (12 month contract)

As AI is a rapidly evolving field, the ability to deal with change, complexity, resilience, and resourcefulness are key for this position.

• Assist in the development and deployment of AI use cases, applying novel approaches to improve operational effectiveness.

• Participate in the full lifecycle of AI projects from ideation to deployment.

• Support the integration of AI solutions into existing software products.

• Conduct research on emerging AI trends and assess their applicability.

Minimum Technical Skills:

• Programming Languages: Proficiency in Python is essential; familiarity with JavaScript and front-end development is a plus (e.g. frameworks such as React, Tailwind). Experience in other programming languages is fine, but the ability to pivot to Python is expected.

• AI & Machine Learning: Experience with open-source machine learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, Hugging Face, PydanticAI, OpenAI Swarm) and extensive use of large language models (Gemini, OpenAI, Llama, DeepSeek).

• Data Science: Understanding of data manipulation techniques and data visualization tools (e.g. Pandas, Matplotlib/Seaborn).

Other Skills and Traits:

• Pragmatism in developing clean code and working solutions.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and practical application of AI techniques.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.

• Business acumen to understand the impact of AI solutions on business processes and outcomes.

Helpful Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and version control systems (e.g., Git).

• Knowledge of API development and database design (SQL/NoSQL and RDBMS).

• Prior experience with agile methodologies.

• Background in UX design and prototyping.

• Proven scientific rigor in conducting experiments

Qualifications

• : Bachelors or Masters degree focused in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, Statistics, or related fields. Exceptions possible for candidates demonstrating strong resourcefulness in applying technology or developing creative solutions.

• Eligibility: Must be currently enrolled, or recently graduated (start date must be within 6 months of graduation date) from a coding academy/bootcamp, apprenticeship, associate, bachelor’s, master’s or JD/PhD program.
