Primary Responsibilities

  • Serve as a full-time investigator for any issue involving a potential violation of KLA’s policies, values, or applicable law or regulation. This may include investigating antitrust, anti-bribery and corruption, discrimination, harassment, IP theft, product regulatory, privacy, conflict of interest, and other ethics, compliance, and workplace issues.
  • Initiate and complete all investigation steps, including document review, interviews, investigation reports, recommend remedial actions, and reporting out on investigation findings, trends, and related metrics.
  • Assist with the management of outside law firms and other third parties (e.g., data forensic, investigation, and document review firms).
  • Manage and work with third party resources, such as digital forensics, investigation, and document review firms.
  • Manage document reviews, including the collection, review, and analysis of relevant documents.
  • Conduct employee training on KLA’s investigation process, including reporting channels and the importance of raising issues.
  • Support the Corporate Investigations team on other projects, initiatives, and strategic opportunities as may arise from time-to-time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in conducting corporate investigative fieldwork, including complainant, witness, and subject employee interviews, investigative data analysis, and production of investigative documentation.
  • Knowledge and application of APAC employment laws and regulations.
  • Experience with a variety of Human Resources subject areas, such as harassment, discrimination, fraud FCPA/anti-corruption and bribery, etc.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4-year undergraduate degree in Employee Relations, Human Resources, Criminal Justice or related fields.
  • At least 8+ years professional experience conducting internal workplace and business investigations in-house or law firm.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin (verbal and written).
  • Experience with stakeholder management in a global organization.
  • Experience in consulting directly with employees and management.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams, multiple regions and time zones, including international travel.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, influencing and writing skills.
  • Self-motivated and persistent; strong ability and comfort in exercising independent judgment for obtaining results while containing legal risk.
  • The Investigator may need to travel frequently to international locations, upwards of 25-50% of time travelling to locations outside of Taiwan

Doctorate (Academic) Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 6 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 8 years
