eero is seeking a WiFi Test Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to our testing efforts to ensure the smooth functioning of our platform. As a WiFi Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in building test cases, validating software releases, and ensuring an exceptional connectivity experience for customers. You will collaborate closely with development teams to identify and troubleshoot issues, ultimately enhancing the quality and reliability of our products.As part of eero's mission to reinvent WiFi, you'll be making a difference in the fabric of the modern home.Key job responsibilities
- Develop test plans for eero's whole home WiFi products
- Define, implement WiFi test cases and support automation
- Develop ad hoc tests to support engineering debug
- Drive decisions about testing improvements
- Execute WiFi test plans
- Report test results and plan status
- Review specs for FCC/ETSI regulatory compliance tests such as DFS, Adaptivity, CBPA day in the life

- 6+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
- Knowledge of QA methodology and tools, with demonstrated experience in an QAE role
- Experience in manual testing
- Basic qualifications
- 4+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
- Experience in manual testing
- Experience as QA lead on medium to large sized projects
- 4+ years of experience in maintaining & scaling up WiFi test labs
- 4+ years of experience 802.11(ac/ax/be), Ethernet, Networking (DHCP, DNS, ARP, ICMP)
- 4+ years of experience on installations of OS (linux/mac/windows)
- 2+ years of experience with RF equipment and tools
- 1+ year of experience with Python or Shell scripting

- Experience with embedded firmware testing
- Good understanding of 802.11 physical layer functionality
- Having led projects end-to-end from bring-up to production
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer or Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field
- Previous experience as WiFi lab bring up around performance, DFS areas, debugging and troubleshooting skills
- Thrive in a fluid fast paced environment, comfortable with ambiguity and can shift gears quickly
- Experience with build systems and REST API development (Not mandatory)
