You will contribute to the Recovery and Resolution Team, which is an integral part of the J.P. Morgan SE (JPMSE) Finance organization, ultimately reporting to the CFO. You will be part of a team of experts responsible for planning and managing the Bank’s Recovery and Resolution activities. You will have the opportunity to contribute to, and lead, a number of projects and deliverables that ensure successful delivery against strategic priorities under the ownership of the CFO.
As an Associate within the Recovery and Resolution Team, you will be responsible for contributing to the planning and managing the Bank’s Recovery & Resolution activities. While being the first point of contact for enquiries from the Bank’s Senior Management and regulatory authorities, you will work closely with the broader teams in Finance, Risk Management, Business Management, Treasury and Operations.
Job responsibilities
- Support and coordinate the JPMSE Recovery & Resolution agenda, including annual and ad-hoc submissions to regulatory authorities
- Function as the co-ordination, communication and escalation point with regard to Recovery & Resolution related matters between JPMSE Head Office and JPM’s global functions
- Lead the annual update of the JPMSE Recovery Plan
- Deliver against the SRB Work Programme and ensure in-time delivery of the annual data collection exercise
- Coordinate the JPMSE contribution to the firmwide Resolution Plan (Title I)
- Ensure completion of regulatory priorities and ad-hoc requests, the in-time delivery of requested information/reporting and the preparation of workshops in close cooperation with local and firmwide teams
- Contribute to the relevant governanc committees used for overseeing, addressing and escalating Reocery & Resolution specific items
- Contribute to ensuring proper reporting/escalation of relevant topics to the Management Board, the EMEA R&R Steering Committee as well as other local committees/forums
- Develop a good understanding of regulatory policies, assess their impact and drive the implementation of new requirements, ensuring that firmwide and JPMSE-specific policies and regulatory requirements are addressed
- Respond to ad-hoc queries from, and coordinate and prepare presentations for, meetings with senior management, regulatory authorities, etc
- Deliver and maintain robust documentation
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business, Economics or another relevant area
- 3-5 years experience in Finance, or related roles
- Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to partner effectively with people across different functions and various levels of seniority
- Project management skills with ability to multi-task, to work well under pressure with commitment to deliver under tight deadlines, and to lead cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to aggregate data and identify root causes
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
- Strong knowledge of MS Office tools, especially PowerPoint and Excel
- Strong organisation skills with the ability to multi-task, to work well under pressure with commitment to deliver under tight deadlines, and to pro-actively engage with cross-functional teams
- Strong ability to take ownership of tasks/projects and proactively engage with stakeholders in order to drive the work forward
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience of performing work related to the EU Recovery & Resolution regime and associated regulatory requirements such as the BRRD and MaSanV
- Strong IT skills, in particular Excel and PowerPoint, also transferable to other IT platforms/software including (but not limited to) Axiom and Alteryx
