Required/Minimum

  • Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and at least 15 years of experience in communications either in-house or agency, particularly in the B2B sector, with 10+ years of international experience.
  • 10+ years of close collaboration with cross functional stakeholders in multinational companies.

Responsibilities
  • Communications Strategy Development and Execution: Develop and execute a communications strategy aligned with global storytelling priorities and local business needs, focusing on editorial coverage with top media in Japan.
  • Customer Storytelling: Create compelling stories that resonate with key business audiences through owned and earned stories, emphasizing Microsoft’s leadership in AI and Cloud, position Microsoft as the partner for digitaland AI transformation.
  • Leadership in AI: Develop a narrative and thought leadership to demonstrate Microsoft’s leadership in AI, focusing on its societal and economic benefits and its safe and responsible use. Serve an AI evangelist for communicators, advocating its adoption and demonstrating its value.
  • Reputation Management: Act as a trusted advisor within Microsoft, advancing and protecting the corporate image and reputation by identifying opportunities to positively shift the perception of the Microsoft brand and correcting inaccuracies when they occur Issues.
  • Management: Manage reactive issues that may affect our reputation, working in partnership with our Corporate External and Legal Affairs team and senior leaders.
  • Stakeholder and Agency Management: Partner with internal stakeholders to provide communications counsel and manage agency partners to deliver campaigns aligned with our company mission and business goals.
