Job Description

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assessing the market potential of pipeline assets and evaluate their commercial viability, taking into account market dynamics, competitive intelligence, scientific insights, regulatory and market access requirements, in line with our New Strategic Framework;
  • Fully understanding and assessing the internal and external environment of the New oncology products;
  • Identifying gaps in the current Italian market and translating the findings into valuable recommendations;
  • Deeply understanding the market environment and therapeutic area, in order to prepare a success launch of new products;
  • Demonstrating value to our stakeholders and extending access to products that address unmet medical needs;
  • Developing and maintaining strong business relationships with key customers;
  • Developing, communicating, and accelerating execution excellence of BU commercial strategy;
  • Driving innovation, growth and productivity enabled by digital and data capabilities;
  • Coordinating high quality, integrated cross-functional brand plans;
  • Leading forecasting process (sales and costs) in collaboration with the Finance team;
  • Representing Italy at internal regional and global meetings and external medical congresses;
  • Leading and performing with the highest ethical standards and respect of industry rules and regulations;
  • Mantaining continuous alignment with BU Oncology team.

Education and Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA or other master is preferred;
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and demonstrated abilities to understand and manage different markets, key levers that drive growth and profitability.

Required Experience and Skills:

In line with our New Strategic Framework:

  • Successful and confirmed experience in portfolio management, pipeline preparation in oncology and/or biomarker driven personalized medicine is a plus;
  • Strong ability to work on market development, especially entirely new markets and a strong acumen to combine science with business;
  • Knowing how to synthesize and anticipate data from the competitive environment, both scientifically and regulatory/access wise;
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to think strategically to assess market dynamics, identify gaps, and translate insights into actionable recommendations;
  • Ability to operate in a matrix: GRL and cross-function;
  • Act as local ambassador/decision maker to HHI/Global with speed/vigor/confidence;
  • Prioritize -and importantly- deprioritize asks/deliverables to/from G/L;
  • Broadly advanced Digital skills: analytical & communication (ADA, Social Network, Web, Blended Model);
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Experience in marketing is mandatory; experience in marketing with product launch represents a priority criterion;
  • People management experience;
  • Fluency in business English and Italian is required.
