Responsible for the display TLA and sub-component development,validation and management of existing and developing Tesla manufacturingpartners.
Sourcing, identifying, and executing part and assembly manufacturinglines with candidate suppliers.
Support setup on supplier’s control flow and ramping operation (IQC/OQC)based on Tesla display inspection criteria, also to define containment plan andcorrect actions to ensure engineering design concept and yield targetcompliance.
Conduct FACA on display quality issue and solidate the implementationplan.
Oversee materials planning (Clear to build), inventory control, Excess& Obsolete (E&O) analysis and projections, New Product Materialreadiness, logistics readiness from Tier 2/3 companies supply Tier 1/2 companieswith the parts.
Access supplier’s production readiness to support engineering build andconduct TQP activity to meet SOP ramp.
Influence product manufacturability, testability, and supply chainresponsiveness in pursuit of low cost and flexibility, while stewardingquality.
Drive supplier’s process performance and coordinate yield improvement tomeet manufacturing cost reduction.
Support Tesla Gigafactory Quality Team to define and perform containmentplan related to supplier-corrective-action-request (SCAR) part defect and fieldreturn.
Validate supplier corrective actions involving design and/or processchanges to ensure they are robust, sustainable, and implemented for similarpotential concerns across manufacturing lines and/or suppliers.
Present timely, concise reports or plan for product yield performanceand supplier capacity.
What You’ll Bring
Minimum 5+ years’ experience in display manufacturing or other displayquality management areas.
BS/MS Degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Industrial Engineering orevidence of experience and exceptional ability.
Technical knowledge in display technologies and manufacturing, such as LCD,Touch Sensor, and OLED a plus.
Knowledge of any of the following preferred: Mechanical subassemblies,PCBA top level assembly, Semiconductor, or IC driver procedure.
Solid communication skills with the ability to work in multinationalenvironments.
Driven and motivated by accomplishing world-class objectives.
Experiencein manufacturing, process engineering and quality controlling.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work inan extremely fast-paced environment.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications,particularly Microsoft Excel.

Understanding of costing concepts, cost reduction, modeling, etc.preferred.
