Required/Minimum Qualifications:
- Technical experience in network design, development, and automation
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field AND technical experience in network design, development, and automation.
- OR Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND technical experience in network design, development, and automation
- OR Doctorate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Other Qualifications:
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience delivering network designs into production and experience with live site accountability for a network.
- Experience in networking, scripting, and software development. Familiarity/hands on experience with any network device operating systems (Sonic, Arista, Cisco, Juniper)
- Cisco CCNA (or equivalent) and experience with Linux/Unix operating systems and Windows servers
- Writing automation in languages such as Python, Powershell or C#
- Writing scripts that use REST APIs, Syslog, xml, SNMP, and other Network Management Systems
- Knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals along with a basic understanding of IP networking MPLS, BGP, ISIS, OSPF and Anycast routing
- Managing and troubleshooting network issues. Experience working on large scale networks.
- Leadership, coordination, and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently on complex tasks.
- Motivated to drive leading edge technologies. Understanding of TCP/IP, BGP and AnyCast
